Dear Friend of the Texas Heart Institute,
I want to
share the good news about, and congratulations to, Dr. Joseph S. Coselli, chief
of adult cardiac surgery for THI, who has been elected vice president of the
highly distinguished American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS).

Founded in
1917 by the earliest pioneers in the field of thoracic surgery, the AATS is now
an international organization of more than 1,200 of the world's foremost
cardiothoracic surgeons representing 35 countries.
Dr. Coselli,
who also is a professor and chief of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Division at the
Baylor College of Medicine, is certainly one of the world's pre-eminent
surgeons in this field.
Not only is
Dr. Coselli dedicated to the very best patient-focused care, but he is committed
to spreading his knowledge to, and training the next generation of
cardiothoracic surgeons.
